It’s become a Friday lunchtime treat to come and grab a veggie burger meal from the King’s Cross station outlet of the Fine Burger Company.
You can definitely eat more cheaply (at £8.50 for a meal you can see why some people balk and run for the nearest Burger King) but it’s definitely worth the few extra pounds.
The veggie burgers are of the soya type, as opposed to the spicy bean type – a fat, tasty patty topped with cheese, lettuce, red onion and a roasted red pepper. The chips are good, but beware of the onion rings. They’re so fried that it would be impossible to go to work afterwards and not want to grab a nap under my desk.
